Life is Better at the Beach

It's been a very long time since I have posted anything on this blog, and it seems to me that it was about time for it to start up again.  This summer has been a whirlwind.  Amazing at times, stressful at times, amazingly stressful at times. It's all been good! So here are some highlights!
This is the sunset that I see every night from my house! For those of you that don't know, I moved to the beach for the summer, a pretty sweet house sitting deal.  I'll be moving into town in October hopefully, and I sure will miss this view!

The light house at the whale watching park.  Lime Kiln.  I didn't see any whales this trip!

Mona The Island Camel!  That's right, A Camel!

I took a trip to New York in May to see Brady graduate from Stony Brook University.  I had a great time sight seeing, but this is as close as I got to the statue of liberty.  I think next time I'll take the boat to the Island :)

Eagle Cove Beach, I spent many a lazy Sunday sitting on this beautifully sandy beach with the two wonderful people below.  Heidi and Jacob are my up for anything, love to hang married couple.  They are amazing and I love this island more because of them!

My 25th Birthday Toga Celebration.  Heidi, Jacob, Melissa, and many more wonderful friends threw me an Island Toga Themed Birthday party.  It was amazingly fun and it made turning 25 amazing too!

Fixing the hole in my Bundt Cake.  If you have ever seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding you know why this is funny!
I ran the league and played co-ed adult softball this year and this year is my team captain.  Always ready for a good time and a seasoned vet at toga parties.

That's all folks, hope I have another update for you soon!!!!

Tis the Season!

Enjoying the Island.

I don't think I would have ever dreamed to be in such an amazing place as the San Juan Island.  I got through my month of ferry rides, and now am officially on the Island which is wonderful.  My house is cute and quite out in the woods.

I figured out my wood stove, it only took me a week and a good insightful conversation from Nicole's coworker Jon; and now I'm a master.

People are overwhelming friendly, including my amazing co-worker Heidi.  I've been invited to join in for weekly dinners at her house and I'm dog sitting for her this weekend.  I was in the paper again this week, so I continue to be told everywhere I go...."I saw you in the paper or your face looks so familiar"  from complete strangers

I have not seen the Island Camel yet, but i'm looking forward to discovering it! It is still on the Island somewhere Kathy.

Happy Holidays Everyone.  I'm off to Josh and Nicoles for Christmas for some Merry Mimosas on Christmas Morning!

On The Road Again!

This blog is about to change from my Wyoming Adventure to my San Juan Island adventure.  I'm sitting here on my last day at work, anxious to get on the road, my only deterant, is the lunch that a few co-workers are taking me for and the drinks they promised this evening.

Too excited about the rain back home and getting to see the ocean and the beautiful colombia river to care if I get nothing done on my last day of work!

The VAn is packed, San Juan Island is waiting for thier new sports and outdoor specialist.

Wyoming, You haven't always been good to me, but you've been beauftiful. Keep it classy!

Rocky Mountain High

I got to see one of my best friends this last weekend, for a little mini vacation!
It was a weekend of Firsts for Me!
I flew on a plane by myself for the first time
I got lost in the Denver Airport for the First time
It was my first time to ever be in Colorado
and it was my first Hike in the Rocky Mountains
We decided to head over to Estes Park, Colorado for the Day to see Rocky Mountain National Park
Casey (My Friend) said he had not had much chance yet to really see the scenery since he had moved their.
This is Bear lake! Located at the bottom of the hiking trail

Casey deciding whether or not he was a spider monkey or simply human, the rock was very slippery from the snow melt

1/2 Pants, clearly I was unprepared for the fact that it had been snowing.

This is emerald lake!  At the Top of the Trail, We Made It, We Made It, and it was very worth it!

The First Snow

It decided to snow last Friday...It brings to mind one of those, you know you're in wyoming when, jokes someone told me before I moved here.  It of course was pretty much melted by morning and is supposed to be warm the rest of the week, but it's still impressive nonetheless that we have snow on the ground before the first week of October Ends.  Happy Monday Everyone!

HAPPY FALL

Ok.  So I got Lazy and Haven't Updated in a while.  But here are my Top Three Amazing Things that Kicked off My Fall Just RIGHT!!!
Ian, Aunt Shelly, and Mom came to Visit for Labor Day Weekend.  We had fun traveling about, seeing Ft Phil Kearney, The Brewery, and Of Course the preserved Dino Tracks near Grey Bull Wyoming!
I Attended WYO-RPA, Where we got to see the Museum of the Moutain Man.  It was very interesting, and there were of course lots of things that had do not touch signs that I in fact touched.  I may or may not have been slightly intoxicated :)
And Lastly, Nothing Keeps My Fall Moving Forward Like a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks.  I love You STARBUCKS!
